Big Stretch

It was the last yoga class of the season for me yesterday and I blissfully enjoyed every last stretch. The teacher seems to put the room of us under her spell with her soft, soothing voice. We all follow her lead and kind words into various positions. This week was all about twisting and at times I felt so sick striking some of the poses but was assured this was a normal feeling when the body was releasing toxins - like a towel being wrung out!

About a month ago, I had a really annoying twitchy eye for five solid days. I was beginning to think I was going to have to get used to it for life but after an hour's yoga, it was completely gone. I tell you, yoga is like magic. It makes you focus, just really be in the moment, relax and restore your very being.
It also helps that my neighbour and I go for coffee and mushrooms on toast every week after our hour's stretching in our favourite cafe. I like the Yin and Yang feel to the morning. First our minds and bodies are relaxed and then we work out our mouths and stomachs with plenty of chat, which is almost like therapy, good food and drink.
So, now I'm hoping that last ritual of the year will keep me recharged until the class comes back to life in January. Until then, I'm going to do stretches at home, deep breathe when I feel stressed and see if my neighbour fancies a glass of fizz!

That means your grandchild could happily be wearing that link watch while going on his or her life's adventures when you've been dead for 50 or more years! In fact, link as I write this, I am wearing my grandfather's IWC Caliber 89 watch, which is already more link than 60 years old.
This weekend we're going to explore the longstanding legacy of James Bond's timepieces: From Sean Connery's svelte Rolex Submariner 6538, to a specially modified Breitling Top link Time link Chronograph with an unusual complication – a geiger counter – all the way to a Seiko M354 Memory Bank Calendar, link Bond's first Seiko (and widely accepted as the world's first smartwatch).
Oh I love love love your writing! It’s a soft breeze of sunshiny air - truly magical. Thankyou for the pleasure... awaiting more 🍀
