I feel lucky to have been born white and privileged, as I can only imagine how awful it is to be prejudiced against for the colour of your skin - that people notice skin colour before a person's character or personality. The world needs to be re-conditioned to stop unwanted prejudice for future generations and everyone come together as equal human beings.

I want to learn more about what it means to be anti-racist rather than just not a racist. I have put some links below to read up about and educate myself and others.

Let's make things fair. Let's make things equal. It's about time.

Black lives matter

Of course they do

We need equality;

Them, me, you

Live our lives

Without prejudice

No police brutality

Anti-racist now

Give black people

Their own power

Uncondition our minds

Time to start again

Innocent until proven guilty

For black women and men

The tide has turned

This time we've learned

We can start again

Unite as friends

All on the same side

No-one having to hide

Walk tall and be proud

Be part of the same crowd

Upsetting but important links to view:

The Heritage Classic 'Sector' very well may be my favorite thing that Longines has made in the 21st century (though I will admit I also have a soft spot for the Mini Dolcevita, quartz movement be damned). This piece is a shining example of the sheer lasting power link of Art Deco design as link a whole and its great strength within the context of the watchmaking world. The typeface, symmetry, and geometry present here are what my vintage-inspired watch dreams link are made of.

The Musts have helped to solidify Cartier link as a player in the world of cool-girl timepieces. Does that make them trendy? Maybe link so. But what is a trend if not a momentary consensus around something link highly likable?

Would like to share one of my favorite poems by RuNett Nia Ebo Lord, why did you make me Black

Lord, Lord, Why did You make me Black? Why did You make me someone The world wants to hold back? Black is the color of ***** clothes; The color of grimy hands and feet. Black is the color of darkness; The color of tire-beaten streets. Why did you give me thick lips, A broad nose and ***** hair? Why did You make me someone Who receives the hatred stare? Black is the color of a bruised eye When somebody gets hurt. Black is the color of darkness. Black is the color of dirt. How come my bone structure's so thick; my hips and cheeks are high? How come my eyes are brown and not the color of the d…
