This weekend was just fabulous weatherwise. Pretty much my whole time was spent in the garden. It was heavenly to chill out in deckchairs, do some gardening, drink too much gin, chat with neighbours, friends and families for hours on end with no deadlines and just having a good old relaxing time. It was like the best of the 1970's and my husband was in his element as he dresses as if he's still there.
We had a BBQ cooked by next-door and met their lovely friends. We sat around the bonfire, laughing and living life. Easter Sunday my parents came over and we ate roast lamb and vegan burgers then sat soaking up rays. We tried to warm up our old fashioned style hot tub but were thankful it was actually more of a plunge pool on such a hot day.
Easter Monday was scorching and the hottest on record in this country. Our old neighbours and we walked through the woods nearby and saw a blanket of bluebells with a canopy of leaves so lime green that they didn't seem real. The ground in my vegetable patch is cracking, though, so relished the rain that poured this afternoon. Back to normal again but maybe that means my crops will finally start to grow.
Re-released with a baby facelift by the current Director of the Chanel Watchmaking link Creation Studio, Arnaud Chastaingt, in 2022, the Première is a perfectly formed black and gold souvenir from a time when the runway ruled. Its black lacquer dial, set within a link gold octagonal case, has no numerals or indices, no seconds hand or date display, just a little white Chanel logo at 12 o'clock and Swiss at 6 o'clock. Simple clean lines, just like the link Chanel No.5 stopper.
